Eeeee! I was gonna send you a note about it, but I kinda spaced out and then had to go to work and all that jazz... I was all worried when I posted it-- like 'OMG, it's not good enough! She's gonna hate it! *pull out hair*' It's so much of a relief to hear that you love the coloring.

And, wow. You're like the first person ever to tell me that you like one of my simple backgrounds. All I did was take a cherry blossom brush I had and go over the solid background with the dodge and burn tools, then on another layer, selected a rectangle then inverted the selection and filled it with the paint bucket. Turn down the opacity a bit, add a fancy border on top of that layer and voila! Fake background no jutsu! *dissolves into giggles* Sorry if that was totally incomprehensible... I do better in person when I can actually do what I'm talking about.

Anyway, I'm like on cloud nine now (I've noticed that it's really easy to put me there...) and I'm very tempted to dance around my bedroom. And... man this is a long response. I'm rambling, so I'm gonna say thank you so much for letting me color your pic. I had a lot of fun with it, even though I got kinda frustrated when I couldn't think of a proper background. And thank you for liking my color version. Much love to ya! Gotta go now... must sleep.

That looks lovely hon! I like the background and the way you colored JB's line art! That was my favorite picture as well! Hee hee! That border that you put on is so wonderful! Looks like something straight from the Art Neuvo era! The coloring on her hair and sash are so wonderful but that delicate background is gorgeous! It really lets the image stand on it's own without taking away too much attention to it, but also it's so nice that your eyes are drawn to it. Very nice. I adore it.

OMG, I'm sorry it took me so long to respond. I couldn't figure out what to say beyond a stunned 'thank you!' I think my first reaction when I read your comment was a really excited *squee!!* noise... I'm happy it turned out so well, and everyone seems to like the border/background, so I'm overjoyed. The border was major fun to do, yet at the same time it was a pain in the butt. Ah well. I'm so glad you like it!
